Manufacturers’ Monthly Endeavour Awards 2014

Last night we attended the Manufacturers’ Monthly Endeavour Awards gala dinner at the Ivy Ballroom in Sydney as finalists in the Technology application of the Year category.

We didn’t win this year but we also didn’t know what each of our competitors had submitted until the dinner. I was very impressed.

The winner for Technology Application of the Year was Micreo for their patented microwave communications tuning technology which reduces the time and cost to tune a new microwave communications device allowing to compete internationally with a high Australian Dollar. Very well deserved.

The overall winner was Marand Precision Engineering who have transitioned their business away from dependency on the automotive industry and recently secured production orders for the F35 Joint Strike Fighter vertical fins.

And personal favourite as a musician was RODE Microphones win as Exporter of the Year.

It was a great night celebrating success within Australian manufacturing.

Here is what we went up against:

  1. Well done yet again Ray! And your team, of course.

So even though you didn’t win you still have to find a spot on your wall for the finalist certificate? That’d be a good problem to have, I’m sure.

I hope it’s all translating into lots of great business for you. 🙂

    Cheers, Bill
