Olympics of Engineering
Have you heard of the Olympics of Engineering before?
Well it also goes under the more common name of the World Engineering Conference and Convention which is part of the World Federation of Engineering Organisations. But just like the Olympic Games it is held every four years. The World Engineering Convention 2015 is being held in Kyoto.

Australia to Host WECC 2019
Australia has won the bid to host the World Engineering Conference and Convention 2019 and Engineers Australia are pretty pleased to have beaten off a very cashed up counter bid from the United Arab Emirates.

And for a change, instead of doing site visits to look at major civil engineering works, they will be focussing on new technologies in the Melbourne and Geelong areas such as:
- Nano Technology
- Additive Manufacturing
- 3D Printing
- Advanced Manufacturing
